Glen Browder has bridged the gap between classroom civics and real-world government during a thirty-year career as political scientist and public official. Now, as Eminent Scholar in American Democracy at Jacksonville State University in Alabama and Distinguished Visiting Professor of National Security Affairs at the Naval Postgraduate School (California), Browder is combining his broad academic and governmental experience to promote democracy here and abroad. Over the years, Browder has contributed -- as a lecturer, writer, and consultant -- to a wide-range of public issues. He has participated in a variety of international programs -- sponsored by such institutions as the NPS's Center for Civil-Military Relations, the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies, and Global Green USA. Browder,60, was born in Sumter, South Carolina, and attended Presbyterian College (B.A. in History) and Emory University (M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science). He and his wife Becky, have been married for 36 years and they are the parents of Jenny Rebecca. (The Author) Bibliography: Last Updated: |
