James A. Buford, Jr.

James A. Buford, Jr., was born in Florida but grew up on a farm near Milltown, a village in east central Alabama. After graduation from Chambers County High School came college, the Army, marriage and two sons. Buford received his B.S.F. and M.S. degrees from Auburn University, and earned a Ph.D. at the University of Georgia. He has taught for many years at Auburn University. (Book jacket)
