doris davenport

"doris davenport wrote her first short story at age 12 and illustrated her first book, 30 years later. doris has published five books of poetry as well as numerous articles, essays, book reviews and one play. Her most recent book is madness like morning glories.

doris has a B.A. (English,Paine College), an M.A. (SUNY Buffalo), and a Ph.D. (University of Southern California). She has taught at colleges and universities from Los Angeles, to Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She has done more than 100 poetry performances and workshops. The most recent poetry reading was the Great Smoky Mountain Book Fair in Sylva, NC. She can be reached at expertise@earthlink.net.
