Paul Hemphill
Paul Hemphill

In 1936, Paul Hemphill was born in Birmingham, Alabama.  He graduated from Woodlawn High School and received a B.A. degree from Auburn University.

Hemphill is a prolific journalist, sportswriter, and novelist. The author of many books, he has focused much of his writing career on the blue-collar South and its working-class denizens. He lives in Atlanta, Georgia.  (www.simonsays.com)
