Honoree Jeffers
"Honoree Jeffers received her MFA in Creative Writing at the University of Alabama and has taught English at various colleges and universities. Honoree was a founding poet at Cave Canem, the first and only writer's colony for Black and African American poets. Her work has been widely published in national journals, including Poet Lore and Brilliant Corners. Honoree participated as a fellow at Hedgebrook, Bread Loaf and MacDowell Colonies and has won many writing awards." (Grasslands Website)
