Larry Powell

Larry Powell (B.A., M.A., Auburn; Ph.D., University of Florida) is an associate professor in Communication Studies at the University of Alabama Birmingham. He previously taught at Mississippi State University, Meisei Universiy (Tokyo), and the University of Central Florida. Powell has ten years experience as a full-time communication consultant with Kitchens, Powell, and Kitchens (Orlando, Fla.); Partner in Media Targeting, a media placement company (Orlando, Fla.). He is ranked as one of the top 100 active communication researchers in the nation by Communication Monographs. (UAB Website)
