Rob Trucks

Rob Trucks is the author of The Catcher and The Starting Pitcher, the first two volumes in Emmis Books Baseball Behind the Seams series, to be published in March 2005.  He is also the author of Cup of Coffee: The Very Short Careers of Eighteen Major League Pitchers (Smallmouth Press, 2003) and The Pleasure of Influence: Conversations with American Male Fiction Writers (Purdue University Press, 2002).  He has published music features, book and album reviews in Spin, BookForum, Newsweek.com, Cleveland Scene, Mountain Xpress, San Diego CityBeat, and EastBay Express, interviews in TriQuarterly, New England Review, Indiana Review and Glimmer Train Stories, and fiction in Black Warrior Review, New Orleans Review, The Distillery and River City.  He has signed books in numerous bookstores, minor league ballparks, Bloomingdale’s and the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, and been interviewed on over 40 radio programs, including National Public Radio’s Talk of the Nation and Only A Game
